A little Christmas tradition I have started with the girls is to buy a few new Christmas books each year, my girls love to read and get very excited about reading
Christmas books. On my recent shopping trip I found this gorgeous basket in Berry, I new it would perfect to put in our
lounge room with all the Christmas books in it. Alexis loves it she just loves grabbing a book and looking at all the pictures. Kasey is in year 1 and is doing well with her reading, but with it coming to the end of the school year she
wont be bringing home any more home readers, Seen it could be roughly 9 weeks till she will get home readers we have to make an effort to keep her reading each day. We have been reading a
Christmas story each night. It really gets them excited about

Now another tradition I have started for around this busy time of year when there is lots of yummy foods around and lots of morning tea catch ups and
bbq's, I have been making up a fruit platter to take instead of cakes, and desserts. I am finding this is helping me resist the things I wont enjoy closer to Christmas, this will hopefully help keep have losses over the busiest month of the year. Now Christmas day I will be enjoying some yummy desserts.

Both great ideas Jill ! I bought a couple of golden books the other day with a Xmas theme and the fruit is a great idea too. So many yummy fruits out now I bet your platters are a hit! Xx
